AEC in the NEWS!!

The Brainerd Learning Center hosts author Carissa Andrews!

Author Carissa Andrews spoke to Mary Tollas’ Book Club class and the Middle Level Alternative Program on April 29th. Ms. Andrews is the author of Pendomus, the first book in a trilogy that chronicles coming of age on a faraway planet.  The book blends science fiction, dystopia and fantasy.  Students were able to ask Ms. Andrews questions about her inspirations (things in her everyday life), what to do when she gets stuck and can’t write (listen to music that she thinks her characters would like and draw), and how to balance her time (she will often write on her lunch breaks from work).
